This policy explains what information SkyNET IT collects through this website, why we collect it, where it goes, and the choices you have. SkyNET IT is a managed IT services provider serving small businesses in Central Texas.
Information you provide
When you submit the quote calculator, contact form, or book a consultation, we collect the details you enter:
- Your name.
- Your email address.
- Your phone number and company name, if you choose to include them.
- The notes, requirements, and quote selections you provide so we can prepare an accurate estimate.
Information collected automatically
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site (pages viewed, general location, device type). Google Analytics sets cookies and processes your IP address. We do not use it to identify you personally.
- Security and anti-abuse. Our forms use Cloudflare Turnstile to tell humans from bots, a hidden form field that only automated tools fill in, and rate limiting that uses your IP address to prevent abuse. These checks run when you submit a form.
How we use your information
- To respond to your request and prepare a quote.
- To schedule and send a calendar invitation for a consultation you book.
- To contact you about your inquiry.
- To operate, secure, and improve the website.
Where your information goes
Information you submit is delivered to our team by email, stored as a record in our Microsoft 365 environment (SharePoint), and, if you book a consultation, used to send a calendar invitation to the email address you provided. We use these service providers to run the site and our business:
- Microsoft (email, SharePoint, and calendar through Microsoft 365).
- Cloudflare (website hosting and the Turnstile anti-bot check).
- Google (Google Analytics).
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
Data retention
We keep the information you submit for up to 24 months after our last contact with you. If you become an active client, we keep it for the life of our engagement and for as long as we need it to meet our business and legal obligations. After that, we delete or anonymize it.
Your choices
- You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the information you have submitted. Email us at contact@skynetit.com.
- You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser.
Children
This website is intended for businesses and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our practices change. When we do, we will revise the effective date above.
